Dark Spot & Anti-Aging Routine
6 steps
A targeted regimen that fades dark spots and hyperpigmentation while smoothing fine lines and early signs of aging. By day, vitamin C and niacinamide brighten and even out your tone; by night, retinol renews and firms the skin — with daily SPF to protect every bit of progress.
Give it 8–12 weeks of consistent use for visible, lasting results.
How to use this routine
Use this routine twice a day, following the steps in order — let each product absorb for a moment before the next. New to active ingredients? Introduce one product at a time and patch-test first.
☀️ Morning
- Cleanse — COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser. Massage onto damp skin, then rinse.
- Brighten — COSRX The Vitamin C 23 Serum. A few drops to fade dark spots and defend against daily damage. This is a high-strength 23% vitamin C — if you’re new to it, start every other morning and build up to daily.
- Correct dark spots — Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum. Pat over the whole face. Beginners shouldn’t use this every day — start 2–3 times a week and build up slowly, as the niacinamide + tranexamic-acid blend can be strong on new skin.
- Moisturise — AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Cream. Seal everything in.
- Protect — Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50+. Always your last morning step; reapply through the day. Daily sunscreen is non-negotiable — without it, dark spots return.
🌙 Night
- Cleanse — COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser. Remove the day’s buildup, sweat and sunscreen.
- Correct dark spots — Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum. Pat over spots and uneven areas. Again, ease in — not every night while you’re starting out.
- Renew — Retinol Intense Reactivating Serum. A pea-sized amount to firm skin and soften fine lines. Start just 2–3 nights a week, then build up as your skin adjusts.
- Moisturise — AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Cream. Lock in hydration overnight.
Good to know: Vitamin C and SPF are morning-only; retinol is night-only — never use retinol in the morning, and don’t layer retinol with strong vitamin C or acids on the same night when you’re new. If skin feels irritated, reduce how often you use the actives and let it recover.
